Are you a skilled newcomer in tech but not sure if you are eligible for SPRINT? Here is a quick checklist that will help you find an answer.

1. Your Status in Canada

You are a skilled newcomer who has been in Canada for less than 10 years as a:

  • Canadian Citizen
  • Permanent Resident
  • Refugee with a valid work permit

2. Educational and/or Professional Background

You hold an internationally obtained post-secondary degree, diploma or certification in the field of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) or Biotechnology and Life Sciences. Below is the list of applicable occupations for SPRINT.

  • Broadcast Technicians, Engineers, Production Switchers
  • Computer and Information Systems Managers
  • Computer, Network Systems Engineers
  • Computer Network Technicians
  • Computer Programmers and Interactive Media Developers
  • Database Analysts and Data Administrators
  • Desktop Publishing Operators and Related Occupations
  • Electrical and Electronics Engineering Technologists and Technicians
  • Electronics, Electrical Engineers
  • Information Systems Analysts and Consultants
  • Information Systems Testing Technicians
  • Multimedia Designers, Graphic Illustrators
  • Software Engineers and Designers
  • Telecommunications Installation and Repair Technicians

3. Language Skills

Proof of language proficiency is not required for SPRINT as we don’t want to add additional barriers to you. If you are able to communicate effectively at a Canadian workplace skill level and are willing to actively participate in the project activities, you are most welcome to join us for SPRINT.
